What FlowType processes

How FlowType uses this information

Audio handling

FlowType only records when you tap the record button. It does not listen in the background.

Audio is temporarily captured on device for processing and then, if you allow it in the app, sent to FlowType's backend and AI service providers to create your transcript and polished result.

Local storage

FlowType stores recent polished drafts on your device so you can reopen them later. You can clear recent drafts from the app.

Third-party services

FlowType uses Supabase to host backend endpoints, create anonymous sessions, and support usage/account requests.

FlowType uses OpenAI to transcribe audio and generate polished or rewritten text from the content you submit.

Data sharing

FlowType does not sell your personal information.

FlowType may share data with Supabase and OpenAI only as needed to operate transcription, rewriting, hosting, authentication, and usage tracking.

Before FlowType sends recordings, transcripts, polished text, or rewrite text for AI processing, the app asks for your permission inside the app.

FlowType only shares this data with service providers used to operate the app on FlowType's behalf and expects those providers to protect the data while processing it for the service.
